Stores Manager
Essential Function Responsibilities:
- Accountable for managing, creating and updating, and improving systems and processes to ensure an accurate Stores Inventory which meets the needs to key customer.
- Leads Inventory planning and cost management by coordinating with Maintenance, Engineering, operations and other Stores Managers and Purchasing.
- Designs, manages and directs procedures and practices to optimize the computerized inventory/purchasing system (SAP).
- Manages the Receiving function, including inbound handling and receipt documentation.
- Coordinate the mill’s Investment Recovery process and procedures.
- Responsible for developing and controlling department budget and operating expenses.
- Leads and directs hourly stores and receiving personnel.
- Leads and directs hourly Maintenance services personnel.
- Manages the repair and return process for repairable storeroom items.
Special Skills/Certifications, etc.:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Significant experience with computerized stores/purchasing management systems (SAP).
- Must be able to work effectively with all levels of the organization
- Must be results orientated being able to drive for effective solutions
Entry Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Logistics experience preferred
- 3-5 years experience in Stores/Logistics/Purchasing.
